What are the accommodation options available?
We offer 8-bed dorms, private rooms and beautiful private glamping tents. All rooms are equipped with a/c, fans, lockers, outlets and other amenities to provide an incredible stay.
What kind of activities and facilities are offered for guests?
We offer different activities every day in the afternoon and evening. Cooking classes, sports tournaments, nature trips. In the evening, however, theme parties, bbq, themed dinners, bee pong and more! Instead, for a fee you can take surfing, surf skate, yoga, meditation and body motion classes, as well as physical therapy sessions by appointment.
How can I contribute to the local community through my stay at Fam?
You will contribute from the first day you book! 10% of any profit from the hostel & surf camp will go to charity to the Special Project for Children with Special Needs in Oaxaca.
Are there any specific sustainability initiatives or practices implemented by the Hostel and surf camp?
Yes the structure is built as much as possible with reused material and wood. For the sewer management system, we adopted the most environmentally friendly solution possible so as not to pollute the soil, a bio digester. We have a water recovery system that we use for the garden and plants. We also organize weekly Clean Up activities at the beach.
Can I book surfing lessons and yoga classes during my stay?
Yes you can book them in advance or directly when you are already here in fam on the day that suits you best.
Are surfing lessons included in the package?
In the Surf Week Pack, however, they are included, one lesson per day for 6 days. In normal reservations per night are not included, but you can add the day you want.
Are meals provided, and do they cater to specific dietary needs?
Included in the Surf Week Pack are 3 dinners per week when we organize BBQs and the Mexican dinner. Also, every morning breakfast is included. For those who stay by booking the night, there is an option to add breakfast to the overnight stay and participate in the dinners and BBQs. Every time we offer also a vegetarian offer for those who want.
